As the Artistic Director of BEings dance, Emily Bufferd has presented work to sold out audiences at 60x60 Dance at the World Financial
Center’s Winter Garden and Galapagos Art Space, Steps on Broadway, Dance New Amsterdam, The FAR Space, the SITE Festival as a part
of Arts in Bushwick, Jennifer Muller’s HATCH, WAXworks at Triskelion Arts Center, Break the Mold!, FIGMENT, The Avant Garde Festival
at Judson Dance Theatre, the Elan Awards Summer Dance Festival in Provincetown, MA, among others . She also sets work for private
studios around the country, where her choreography has been awarded many top honors at competition.
Ms. Bufferd, along with BEings, was featured in FutureCelebrityMag.com’s “Catch the Step” article in April of 2009. She has been interviewed
on WKCR, 89.9FM radio for the 60x60 Dance projects presented by Vox Novus Music as well as on Bourgeon Online. Recently, she
was featured in Prodiligo.com's "Work in Progress" article.
As a performer, Bufferd has been seen at events such as Carnival; The Choreographer’s Ball, the International Dance Festival, American
Cancer Society’s Race for a Cure, KP Productions Sentimental Journey Benefit for MS, on The View with recording artist Outkast, in
promotional videos for World Dance Movement - The International Workshop, and at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Variety Arts Theatre,
and The Kravis Center
Emily is currently producing The Young Choreographer’s Festival, to be held at Symphony Space’s Peter Jay Sharp Theatre on June 6th,
2010.
